When the AIS connector's adapter is deployed AisVesselStatic GeoEvent Definition which gets created does not include a field whose type is Geometry. When creating a new BDS Data Source the option to publish a map and/or feature service at the same time as the BDS Data Source is created will not work without a Geometry field to reference. An enhancement has been logged to catch and report this requirement client-side before the request to publish the map/feature service is sent.

Solution de contournement

Use a Field Mapper to map event records associated with the AisVesselStatic GeoEvent Definition to a schema which includes a single geometry attribute field.
Select to publish the map and/or feature service after creating the BDS data source. Select the Spatiotemporal tab on the GeoEvent Manager's Data Source page and add a map and/or feature service to the existing BDS data source.
