Informations supplémentaires
Esri is focusing development efforts on the current-generation ArcGIS StoryMaps product (https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-storymaps/overview) and has announced its classic storytelling templates (https://storymaps-classic.arcgis.com) to be gradually be moved to “extended support” and “mature support” over the next few years. This original announcement was in 2019 and the latest information about this transition can be found at https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-storymaps/announcements/classic-story-map-transition-timeline-december-2022/.
For the definition of extended and mature support, and other lifecycle phases of Esri products, refer to the Esri Product Lifecycle Support Policy (http://downloads2.esri.com/support/TechArticles/Product-Life-Cycle.pdf).
As a result of this direction, the development team is no longer considering enhancements to the classic templates and is only considering critical-priority bug fixes. This issue is either an enhancement or a bug not classified as critical, so the development team does not plan to address it in the classic story map templates.
ArcGIS StoryMaps is being developed with modern technology and design patterns, along with years of feedback received from the storytelling community about the Esri classic storytelling templates. Although there are issues and enhancements not to be implemented in the classic templates themselves, many have been incorporated into ArcGIS StoryMaps or are being considered for future updates to ArcGIS StoryMaps.
