Bogue
Leader lines for the pie chart symbols show beneath the pie charts in ArcGIS Pro and are obscured. ArcMap does not have this issue.

Set the pie chart symbols to have a transparency for the leader lines.
1. In the Symbology pane > click on the symbol for one of the pie charts fields.
2. This opens the Format > Properties > Symbol window.
3. For Color > click the drop-down > Color Properties... > set the Transparency to a value greater than 0% > OK > Apply.
