In the ArcGIS Survey123 field app, an unexpected value is returned by the max() function only when both arguments are coalesce() expressions that include indexed-repeat() calculations.

Solution de contournement

The workaround is to calculate the max for each indexed repeat, which returns a valid integer, and then calculate the max of these values separately.

These additional questions can be hidden on the form and don't need to be stored in the feature layer attributes.
