Bogue
In the ArcGIS Online hosted feature layer view documentation, the option to overwrite the origin (parent) layer is documented as not possible when the origin (parent) layer is originally published from ArcGIS Pro, but the workflow is accomplishable and successful with ArcGIS Pro.
