In the ArcGIS Dashboards or ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1 deployment, if the name of the ArcGIS Server Web Adaptor is 'mapserver', the hosted feature layers do not work with any widget and return the errors, "No query capability on layer" and "Layer <layername> does not meet the necessary criteria to be used for this visual element."

Solution de contournement

Reconfigure a new ArcGIS Server web adaptor with 'server' as the name.

1. Install a new web adaptor and name it 'server' and configure the web adaptor with ArcGIS Server.
2. Navigate to https://portal.domain.com:7443/arcgis/sharing/rest/login and sign in with an administrator account.
3. Select Org ID (0123456789ABCDEF) > Servers > Server Id.
4. Make note of the ArcGIS Server Administration URL for step 6.
5. Select 'Update Server' (https://portal.domain.com:7443/arcgis/sharing/rest/portals/0123456789ABCDEF/servers/<server id>/update).
6. Change or update the 'URL' field with the correct or new ArcGIS Server Service URL.
7. Add the ArcGIS Server Administration URL from step 3
8. Select Update.
9. Sign in to Portal for ArcGIS Admin endpoint and validate the federation for it to update the setting within ArcGIS Server.(https://portal.domain.com:7443/arcgis/portaladmin/federation/servers/<server id> and select 'validate').

For items added as a 'data store item' and the item URLs which are not updated after the steps above:

1. Navigate to https://arcgisserver.domain.com:6443/arcgis/admin/security/config and sign in with an administrator account.
2. Update the Portal properties: 'serverUrl": https://arcgisserver.domain.com/newwebadaptor'.
3. Restart ArcGIS Server service and clear local client browser cache.
