This behavior is only observed in Portal for ArcGIS 10.6 and is fixed in Portal for ArcGIS 10.6.1 by a new feature installed - the empty Date field option as the user mentioned. If the user feels this issue is urgent and needs a fix in a particular version, search a guide for a hotfix request.Solution de contournement
