Informations supplémentaires
Metadata created and managed by ArcGIS software is not stored on datasets in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 19115-3 format. Metadata is stored on datasets in the ArcGIS metadata format.
In the video, it shows that the workflow used to copy metadata from one dataset to another was incorrect. The video confirms the Import Metadata dialog box had "The type of metadata to import" set to the default setting of ISO 19115-3: Current style (ISO19115_3). That is the correct workflow if the metadata is being imported from a stand-alone metadata XML file in the ISO 19115-3 format, e.g., from an XML file that was exported from a dataset, as described in the other section of the same help topic. Refer to the following documentation for additional information: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/metadata/copy-or-import-metadata-to-an-item.htm#GUID-8DDB8285-D62B-4F5B-96C0-575C890AEB59
However, when copying metadata from one dataset to another, ArcGIS Metadata must be selected in the Import Metadata dialog box in the "The type of metadata to import" drop-down list. Follow the instructions in this help topic, which is specific to copying metadata from one dataset to another in ArcGIS Pro. Refer to the following documentation for additional information: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/metadata/copy-or-import-metadata-to-an-item.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_CBEEC645902D40788F69C54C4DC8A471
