Bogue
In ArcGIS Online Map Viewer, a label disappears at a certain scale if the label name is longer than the line feature.

This is a known limitation, and is documented in the first bullet here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/create-maps/create-labels.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_2963DE67B30B4FB89F332D248F3B6273 As you zoom out, the labels scale by becoming larger to remain legible. However, at a certain point, they become so large they overlap each other. This is why the labels seem to disappear when zooming out.
