Bogue

In ArcGIS Online, if a field alias for a field on a hosted feature service in the pop-up configuration box in a web map is modified and the pop-up is removed or disabled, the field alias modification is lost.

This is expected behavior. The information only exists in the pop-up. Removing the pop-up removes the information.

In the item details page, change the field alias in the Data tab.
