Informations supplémentaires
Managers of ArcGIS Hub sites can set the basemap of their site (used to display map visualizations in search and dataset pages) and extent. Configurations of these values impact map visualizations where a cartographic perspective has not been configured.
As an example, in the process of creating a Web Map a user is configuring the cartography of the map is expressed, including (but not limited to) its basemap, extent, symbology, and more. ArcGIS Hub will not override the cartographic perspective configured for Web Maps; instead, it will respect them and display them as configured by the Web Map creator.
This BUG ticket is asking that we swap the Web Map's configured basemap for that of the ArcGIS Hub site. While this may work in some cases, it may lead to issues in the legibility and accessibility of the Web Map itself. As an example, if a Web Map uses blue symbology and the ArcGIS Hub site was configured with the blueprint basemap, then the features on the Web Map would become illegible.
We are closing this ticket as "As designed", if a customer would like to change the basemap and/or extent configured for a Web Map, then it must be changed in the Web Map itself. This will ensure the cartographic intent of the Web Map is respected and displayed accordingly.
