Grouped symbology displays improperly in a feature service when brought into ArcGIS Pro 2.9.12 and ArcGIS Online Map Viewer 10.9.1.

Solution de contournement
After adding the feature service to a map in ArcGIS Pro 2.9.12, open the Symbology pane and group all identical symbols. This updates the display in the Contents pane to one symbol per symbology group. Note that this may be a tedious process for utility network layers and other layers with expansive and complex symbology configurations.
