Bogue
Feature services in ArcGIS Online are allowed to have field names greater than 64 characters but cannot be exported to a file geodatabase.

1. Open the feature service in a new web map with full editing control.
2. Open the attribute table > Table Options > Add Field.
3. Create a new field of the same type and give it a shorter name.
4. Click the gear icon next to the new field > Calculate.
5. Copy the values over to the shorter name field with: Short field name = long field name.
6. Click the gear icon next to the long field name > Delete.
