In the case of ArcGIS Pro, the data is local, making the size estimation quick and inexpensive. In a hosted environment, implementing an asynchronous job poses challenges unsuitable for this use case. The credit, based on the total number of tiles generated, is accurate, and this is what the client is likely to be most concerned about regarding costs. For size estimation, since it is not expensive, we should consider this issue as a known limitation.
