Changing registered ArcGIS Server data store connection name from 'Default' to 'default' in ArcGIS GeoEvent Manager causes the connection and dependent outputs to break.

Solution de contournement

It can be mediated by editing the 'Default' registered ArcGIS Server connection, ensuring that the name of the connection name is indeed 'Default', re-entering the credentials associated with the connection, and clicking 'Register'. After doing so, restart the ArcGIS GeoEvent Server service.
