ArcGIS StoryMaps Map Tour with categorized layout created from a feature layer will fail to load with "Hmm there seems to be an issue" error if the Category Field is removed from the feature layer schema.

Solution de contournement

Add a field with same name as the original Category Field to the dataset, then open the StoryMap in Edit mode and change the Category Field to a field that will remain in the dataset.
