After updating the maxRecordCount parameter for a hosted feature layer, the Edit option is not available for associated hosted feature layer views even after editing is enabled in the item's settings.

1. Open the view with the 'Open in Map Viewer Classic with full editing control' option to edit the view.
2. Copy the full capabilities from the source layer's JSON: "capabilities": "Create,Delete,Query,Update,Editing",
3. Navigate to Update Definition of the view layer, remove all of the text from the text box, leaving only the following:

}

The capabilities are saved for the view layer, and editing is available for the view layer in the map.
