After publishing a Terrain3D service to ArcGIS GIS Server using service definition from Data Appliance deployment, the corresponding item type in Portal for ArcGIS appears as an imagery layer instead of elevation layer.

Solution de contournement

Delete the item from the My Content page and copy the URL for the 3D terrain image service from ArcGIS GIS Server and add it as an item (Add Item > From the web).
