Adding the utility network dataset to a map causes the dataset to be added to the table of contents twice.

1. Expand the dataset containing the utility network.
2. Right-click the utility network dataset and navigate to Add To New > Map.
3. Click 'Yes' for the window that appears asking if you want to add all feature classes that participate in the utility network.
