Abbreviation Dictionaries are not honored when text formatting tags are used while creating a label class on a point or polygon feature class using Arcade expressions.

Workaround:

1. Create a second label class for the same feature class that uses the same abbreviation dictionary but without any text formatting tags.
2. Display the second label class after the first label class.
3. The spacing and placement of each label class need to be adjusted to fit user needs.
