Introduction

ESRI is pleased to announce the ArcSDE 9.0 SQL Server Missing Feature Classes Patch. This Patch addresses an issue where under certain conditions SQL Server users may notice missing Feature Classes from Feature Datasets when connecting to ArcSDE 9.0 or 9.0 SP1. It deals specifically with the issue listed below. We highly recommend that all ArcSDE SQL Server customers download and install this Patch at their earliest convenience.

Issues Fixed with this Patch


  • CQ00243809 - When using ArcSDE 9.0 and or 9.0 SP1 to connect to SQL Server, Feature Datasets are missing Feature Classes. These feature classes appear as SDE tables and will appear when the following conditions are met:

    • User-defined roles have been created for Data Readers and Data Writers and Topology has been created in the Feature Dataset.
