ArcIMS Route Server 9.2 Patch

Resumen

This patch contains a fix which allows Route Server 9.2 to function with ArcIMS 9.2 Service Pack 3. It also contains a fix for drive time polygons. Please download and install this required patch at your earliest convenience.

Installation Steps for ArcIMS Route Server on Windows

ArcIMS 9.2 SP3 and Route Server 9.2 must be installed before you can install this patch.

  1. Download AIMS92sp3RouteServerPatch.msp. (1.5 MB)
  2. From your Services control panel, stop the ArcIMS Tasker, ArcIMS Monitor, and ArcIMS Application Server (in that order).
  3. Double-click AIMS92sp3RouteServerPatch.msp to start the install process. This executable will take some time to examine your current ArcIMS install during the initializing stage. If double clicking the MSP file does not start the Service Pack installation, you can run the Service Pack manually by using the following command:

    msiexec.exe /p [location of service pack]\AIMS92sp3RouteServerPatch.msp REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=omus

  4. When Setup starts, follow the instructions on your screen.
  5. After the setup has finished, start the ArcIMS Application Server, ArcIMS Monitor and ArcIMS Tasker services.

Installation Steps for ArcIMS Route Server on Solaris

ArcIMS 9.2 SP3 and Route Server 9.2 must be installed before you can install this patch.

  1. Download ims92sp3-rtesrvr-patch-sol.tar. (12 MB)
  2. Stop the ArcIMS Tasker, ArcIMS Monitor, and ArcIMS Application Server (in that order) or use the script $AIMSHOME/qs_scripts/stop_arcims.
  3. Extract the tar file ims92-sp3-.tar by typing:

    % tar -xvf ims92sp3-rtesrvr-patch-solaris.tar

  4. Start the installation by typing: % ./applypatch This will start the dialog for the menu-driven installation procedure. Default selections are noted in parentheses ( ). To quit the installation procedure, type 'q' at any time.

  5. Start the ArcIMS Application Server, ArcIMS Monitor, and ArcIMS Tasker (in that order) or use the script $AIMSHOME/qs_scripts/start_arcims.

How to identify which Service Pack is installed


UNIX:

To find out what ArcGIS products are currently installed on your machine, download and extract the PatchFinder.tar and run PatchFinder utility from your local machine. This utility provides a report detailing which ArcGIS products and which servicepacks have been installed. The PatchFinder utility searches for thefollowing ArcGIS products.

  • ArcGIS ArcReader
    ArcGIS Engine Developer Kit for C++
    ArcGIS Engine Developer Kit for the Java Platform
    ArcGIS Engine Runtime
    ArcGIS Server for the Java Platform
    ArcIMS
    ArcIMS Web ADF for the Java Platform
    ArcInfo Workstation
    ArcSDE

Extract the tar file by typing:

% tar -xvf PatchFinder.tar

Run the utility by typing:

% ./PatchFinder

Windows:

The file routeserver.dll will have the following time stamp: 10/1/2007 1:53 PM.
The file aimssdc.dll will have the following time stamp: 10/1/2007 s:00 PM.
