Descripción

Esri® announces the ArcGIS 10 SP5 (Desktop, Engine, Reader) Set Bing Key Patch. This patch addresses changes in ArcGIS Bing licensing announced earlier this year by allowing a custom Bing key to be set and used for Bing requests in ArcGIS. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this Patch.

Issues Addressed with this Patch

  • NIM093125 - Provide a way for users to enter their own Bing key for Bing layer usage.

  • Description: In order to set your own Bing key, a new executable named SetBingKey.exe has been added to the bin directory of the ArcGIS installation. This executable allows the key to be set.

Note that after installing this patch, you will be required to set a Bing key and your complimentary use of Bing Maps will end. After December 31, 2013, all users must use the executable in order to continue using Bing Maps.
