When using the 'Join Features' tool in ArcGIS Online, the process to include a count field is redundant when other summary statistics are not required and the related table does not include any numeric fields.

Solución alternativa

1.  Open web map provided.
2. Examine fields in "JoinFeatures_BUG" layer and JoinFeatures_BUG table.
3. Edit your table (or examine other table in the web map "JoinFeatures_BUG_table_withRedundantNumericField").
   1. Add a field which is meaningless but is numeric.
4. Try the Join Features tool again:
   1. Target layer: JoinFeatures_BUG point layer.
   2. Layer to join: JoinFeatures_BUG_table_withRedundantNumericField.
   3. Type of join: Choose fields to match (LocationID = LocationID).
5. Choose join operation: one to one and Add statistics.
   1. Select any statistic to calculate on the RedundantNumericField.
   2. Give the result layer a name and run analysis
6. Examine the result layer (in web map provided, see "JoinFeatures_BUG_resultWithRedundantFields").
   1. A Join Count field was produced as desired, but there is a statistics field which has to be deleted.
