Solución alternativa

Tested with fully patched ArcGIS Server 11.1 and Portal for ArcGIS 11.1.

  1. Published a simple map service using ArcGIS Pro 3.1.2.
  2. Secured the map service with authentication schemes, including HTTP-based authentication (Basic or Digest) or Windows authentication, which is supported.
  3. The test focused on Windows authentication, not Basic authentication.
  4. To enable Windows authentication, configure the ArcGIS Server Authentication Tier Web and restrict the map service by closing the lock in ArcGIS Server Manager.
  5. In Portal for ArcGIS Map Viewer, loaded the map service without entering credentials, as the user was logged in as a Windows domain user with access to the map service.
  6. Saved the web map.
  7. Loaded the web map into Portal Experience Builder.
  8. Saved the experience and published it.
  9. Shared the experience with everyone and copied the link to the just-published experience.
  10. Logged in on a Windows machine as a user without Windows authentication access to the experience.
  11. Opened the experience link in an Incognito Window of the web browser.
  12. The Windows authentication dialog appeared, but canceled the dialog.
  13. Then refreshed the experience page; the Windows authentication dialog never appeared again.
  14. Repeated the same process with the created web map.
  15. In this case, the Windows dialog appeared after canceling the first time and refreshing.
