Solución alternativa
Tested with fully patched ArcGIS Server 11.1 and Portal for ArcGIS 11.1.
- Published a simple map service using ArcGIS Pro 3.1.2.
- Secured the map service with authentication schemes, including HTTP-based authentication (Basic or Digest) or Windows authentication, which is supported.
- The test focused on Windows authentication, not Basic authentication.
- To enable Windows authentication, configure the ArcGIS Server Authentication Tier Web and restrict the map service by closing the lock in ArcGIS Server Manager.
- In Portal for ArcGIS Map Viewer, loaded the map service without entering credentials, as the user was logged in as a Windows domain user with access to the map service.
- Saved the web map.
- Loaded the web map into Portal Experience Builder.
- Saved the experience and published it.
- Shared the experience with everyone and copied the link to the just-published experience.
- Logged in on a Windows machine as a user without Windows authentication access to the experience.
- Opened the experience link in an Incognito Window of the web browser.
- The Windows authentication dialog appeared, but canceled the dialog.
- Then refreshed the experience page; the Windows authentication dialog never appeared again.
- Repeated the same process with the created web map.
- In this case, the Windows dialog appeared after canceling the first time and refreshing.
