Reproject to WGS_1984_PDC_Mercator first and then reproject to WGS_1984_Web_Mercator.Note from Melita Kennedy: The above workaround should not work. The GCS of "WGS_1984_Web_Mercator" is not the standard WGS84 but a sphere-based version of it (GCS_WGS_1984_Major_Auxiliary_Sphere). To properly transform this data, you need two transformations. One from NAD83 to WGS84 and one from WGS84 to WGS84 Major Aux Sphere.
