Error

When running a script from a toolbox in ArcGIS Pro, arcpy.env.addOutputsToMap is set to False by default.

Changing of environments and settings within a script tool are sandboxed to that particular tool. They do not update the application-level settings, this is by design, we don't want a setting set in a script tool to have ripples through subsequent tools. The addOutputsToMap setting really only applies after a tool has executed (adding the output of a tool to the map); thus there is really no use case where using this setting in a script tool would apply.
