Error
When publishing a feature service that has "x\x" as the data owner schema set in the feature layer's name, it returns an error with "A local copy could not be created. The item was not found" when creating a local copy in ArcMap.

Before publishing the layer as a feature service from ArcMap, remove the "A\B" naming convention in instance."A\B."featureClass, so that it either looks like featureClass or instance.word.featureClass in the feature layer.
