Error
When opening a PDF map or layout export from ArcGIS Pro, the layer names are not preserved in Adobe Illustrator but are preserved when opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

This is a known issue with the methods Adobe Illustrator uses to parse the PDF, and is not related to ArcGIS Pro.Solución alternativa
- Open the PDF with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. The layer names and naming conventions are preserved. Please see attached screenshot02.
- Alternatively, export the map or layout as .AIX file and use ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud 2.0 extension to open it in Adobe Illustrator. Layer names are preserved.
