Error
Uploading an empty zipped shapefile or CSV to ArcGIS Online to be published as a hosted feature layer with editing turned on throws a warning, “There may be too many features to display” and does not display any added features.

This was addressed in the April 2018 update ArcGIS Online. The fix only applies to newly published empty feature layers. For existing feature layers that might be experiencing this problem, the spatial index needs to be rebuilt. This functionality was also added in the April 2018 update ArcGIS Online and can be found on the item details page for the feature layer under the settings tab.Solución alternativa
