Removing the service credits entirely from the layout is not possible as the credits are there for legal reasons. Removing the service credits from the layout or making the text transparent, defeats the purpose of the credits. The service credits should always be on the layout. That is why the option to remove the service layer credits (SLCs) that appear in the map frame is provided so the service credits can be placed somewhere on the layout rather than having the credits potentially obscure the content in the map.

Solución alternativa

After completing step 6, right-click the text box and select Properties. Under Options, expand General, and uncheck the Visible check box. The text disappears.
