There is an inconsistent behavior when trying to extend a line feature in the ArcGIS Field Maps application.

This is a known limitation with digitizing line and polygon features. After placing the second vertex, from that point forward, the line or feature can be extended from that direction to create the third vertex and so on. However, when it comes to extending the line from the first vertex, the only option is to update the location of that vertex and move it to the correct location.
