The view count for applications listed in Portal for ArcGIS 10.5.1 does not increase after the application is viewed.

View count represents the number of times the item details page is viewed. It does not represent the number of times a referenced URL is accessed. When a user searches for an item within portal and opens the item details page, the view count is updated. If the user proceeds to view a referenced application, the view count is not updated.
