1. Move the data to a different database or location so that it does not participate in the same editing session. 2. Instead of using the Trim tool the user should use the Editor Toolbar.-Select the line that they want to trim-Change the task to "Extend/Trim Features"-Then change your current tool to the sketch tool. (pencil)-Hover over the feature that you want to trim the selected line too-Right-click and then select "Replace Sketch"-Right-click again and select "Finish Sketch"
