The external select_one options do not populate in a repeat when using the autocomplete appearance setting.

Solución alternativa

The selection occurs outside of the repeat. To work around this, add a text question within the repeat with a hidden appearance. For the question to be created, set the calculation equal to the cell containing the original selection.

Example: If the selecting question is called 'category', the question within the repeat calls on 'category' as ${category} in the question's calculation field.
