The Create Feature Class from 'XY Table' must not create the new feature class in the file geodatabase when the output location mentioned is the feature dataset.

Workaround1. Create a feature class from an Event LayerAdd the XY Table to TOC --> right click the XYtable--> Display XYRight click on Event Layer--> Data--> Exportdata --> specify Feature Dataset as outputlocation2. Manually drag and drop the Feature class in theFeature Dataset created by the Create Feature Class fromXY Table.3.
