The ArcGIS API for Python export() or delete() call creates occasional ghost indexes on ArcGIS Online.

Solución alternativa

The script calls the following functions:

exported_backup_feature = backup_feature.export(backup_feature.title,

                            'File Geodatabase', parameters=None, wait='True')

fgdb = gis.content.get(exported_backup_feature['exportItemId']) # backup_feature ID

fgdb.download(save_path=output_folder)

fgdb.delete()

By amending the order of functions called, and calling delete on the output of fgbd.export(), running the script does not produce ghost indexes. Below are the amended script calls:

fgdb = gis.content.get('<itemID>')

toExport = fgdb.export('name','File Geodatabase')

toExport.download(save_path=r"FIlePath")

toExport.delete()
