Significant performance issues when exporting large maps to a PDF file format from ArcGIS Desktop 10.6.1 compared to ArcGIS Desktop 10.6.0.

The slowdown is due to additional processing needed for masking, especially in cases where masking geometries overlap. This change was made in order to repair a defect reported in masking under BUG-000086497 in 10.6.1. After our developer’s investigation there is not a way to resolve BUG-000086497 without the additional processing, so this issue BUG-000116198 is considered As Designed in the 10.x output pipeline. The ArcGIS Pro pipeline deals with masking in a more efficient manner, so one possible workaround would be to open the MXD in ArcGIS Pro and output to PDF from there.Pasos para reproducir
