Running the Calculate Geometry tool in ArcGIS Pro 3.4.2 returns the error message “RuntimeError: workspace already in transaction mode” in enterprise geodatabase version 11.1 and older.

Solución alternativa

1. In ArcGIS Pro, navigate to Project > Options > Editing.
2. Expand Session, check 'Enable and disable editing from the edit tab' and 'Multiple workspace edit session'.
3. In ArcGIS Pro, activate the edit session and run the Calculate Geometry tool (add feature class to the map).
4. The tool runs without any issues.

However, disabling an editing session while the Calculate Geometry pane remains open does not prevent the tool from continuing to calculate geometry, even when not in an active editing session.
