Running the Buffer tool while appending to an existing buffer feature class does not calculate the shape length and shape area fields in the attribute table.

Solución alternativa

• Use the Pairwise Buffer tool.
• Add area or length fields using the Calculate Geometry Attributes tool.
• Use arcpy.da.SearchCursor with SHAPE@AREA or SHAPE@LENGTH to retrieve the values.
