Error

Opening ArcMap with a failover configuration takes longer to open versus opening ArcMap pointing to an individual License Manager host. There is an inefficiency in the way ArcGIS Desktop communicates with the License Manager in the failover configuration.

Solución alternativa

In the failover case, Desktop will attempt to connect to the first License Manager in the list and then fall back to the second. This could take time when searching from ports 27000-27009. To speed up this check, change the configuration to specify port. 27000@lm1;27000@lm2. The port being used can be found from License Server Administrator > Diagnostics > Perform Status Inquiry.
