ArcGIS Desktop (including ArcGIS Engine and ArcObjects) is in mature support and will be retired March 1, 2026. Mature support means the end of functionality-based patches and hotfixes; therefore, this issue will not be addressed. There are no plans for future releases of ArcGIS Desktop, and it is recommended that you migrate to ArcGIS Pro. - Create an empty map in ArcMap 10.8.1.
- Insert Esri basemap.
- Change the coordinate system of the data frame from WGS 1984 Auxiliary Sphere to Greek Grid, choosing the given transformation.
- Insert the shapefile with the Greek Grid coordinate system, for the layer to be projected in the Greek Grid coordinate system.
***Note: ArcGIS Pro can be used. The issue does not occur in ArcGIS Pro.
