Non-breaking hyphen generates an extra space before the corresponding line in selective fonts when used in an ArcGIS Pro layout text.

This is not a bug. The Corbel font does not have the hyphen character, so the fallback font of Segoe UI is used where the hyphen is slightly different.

Use fonts that support the hyphen.
