Metadata thumbnails added to a 9.3 or 9.2 File GDB created in 10, with the Create File GDB tool, crashes 9.3/9.2ArcCatalog when clicking on the feature class.

Access the metadata again using ArcGIS 10. Start editing metadata. On the Item Description page, delete the thumbnail. Click Save.Pasos para reproducir
