Labels do not show for feature classes stored with GEOGRAPHY data type after they are registered with the geodatabase.

Solución alternativa

Run the 'sdelayer -o alter -E calc' command on the feature class, or register the feature class using the -E option (ie sdelayer -o register -l parcels,shape -E -123.358,48.653,-123.348,48.658). The label will then draw correctly.
