Error
In 10.2, the Feature Class to Shapefile (Multiple) tool fails, specifically when using ArcMap layers that have a source geodatabase with a GlobalID.

1. Export to a shapefile using Data > Export Data. The GlobalID field is converted to a string field type.2.
