When there's no GeoPoint question in the survey, the real location is recorded in field app and 0,0 is recorded in current web app are both by-design. In the field app, real location can be retrieved without showing any message to the user, but in a desktop/mobile browser, real location can only be retrieved by showing a warning message and also requires the user's permission. This is why we have different default behaviour.
