If the field alias is changed through the REST endpoint, the change is not reflected in the web map’s pop-ups, or in the layer’s table until pop-ups are re-enabled.

Duplicate of BUG-000090120: This behavior is expected. Service changes do not automatically flow down to operational layers (in web maps) that reference those services. This will be documented for 4.1.

Solución alternativa

Follow the steps below if changes are made to field aliases in a service’s REST endpoint.1. Remove pop-ups in the existing web map. 2. Save the web map. 3. Refresh the web map. 4. Re-enable pop-ups for new field aliases to display.
