Calculating the area on a polygon with Z-values does not include the Z-values as part of the area calculation.

Solución alternativa

Create a triangular irregular networks (TIN) from the polygon, and then run the Add Surface Information tool using the TIN as the Input Surface and the polygon as the Input Features. Select the option for Surface Area and this includes the Z-values in the calculation.
