Solución alternativa

1. Double-click the name for the missing symbol to display the Layer Properties dialog > Symbology tab. 2. Double-click the name of one of the missing symbols like Airport, to display the Symbol Selector. 3. Click Properties. 4. For Type, select the Simple Character Symbol. 5. On the Character Marker tab, select another character marker from the list and select a symbol. 6. Click OK to apply the symbol. 7. In the table of contents, click the new symbol to display the Symbol Selector. 9. Click Properties. 10. For Type, select the Character Marker Symbol. 11. On the Character Marker tab, click ESRI ArcPad and confirm Subset is Basic Latin. 12. Click any symbol and choose a color. 13. Click OK to apply the symbol and dismiss all dialogs. The ArcPad font now appears. Note: ArcPad fonts disappear when applying a layer file made from the 'repaired layer'. 1. Save the 'repaired' layer to a .lyr file. 2. Open an untitled .mxd and add the Public Facility point feature class. 3. Right-click on the Public Facility layer and click Properties. 4. Click the Symbology tab. 5. Click Import and navigate to the saved .lyr file. The ArcPad fonts are missing again. See screen shot 'MissingArcPadFontLayer'.
